Review on ๐Ÿ’ช Dramm 12353: The Ultimate Heavy-Duty Brass Shut-Off Valve for Unparalleled Performance by Dave Giri

Great check valve

Finally a check valve well made. I've been using several of these for a year and am very happy with the valve. A few things to watch out for: - When removing the valve from the end of the hose, be careful not to fall out or lose the parts inside. The black rubber washer tends to stick to the end of the hose and is the only thing holding the white valve ball seat and the valve ball itself in place. I had to look for it more than once - the lever sticks out a little and can get caught. I'm used to this - If you screw the valve onto the hose too tightly it can be difficult or impossible to turn the valve - Buy this brass rather than the aluminum-like body if you have hard water. I managed to break the handle of one of them - the threaded rod broke. Drumm responded well and sent a new stem/bolt. Reassembled and it's like new. They also have complete repair kits that include all bits except the brass body.
