I have a Wallke EBike and after 1000 miles I needed new brake pads. Actually I had to replace them after 600 miles. However, it would never have occurred to me to change the brake pads on an e-bike until they started squeaking too much. The learning curve of the first timer. ;-) Wallke sells the entire brake system for $150. However, the small pads are easy to remove and insert. I think I spent less than 10 minutes installing new brake pads on the first try. Now my bike no longer squeaks when I stop. Before ordering brake pads, I went to an e-bike shop to find out why my bike was squeaking so much. The mechanic told me about brake pads and sold good quality pads for $40. They only cost $12 or so for 4 pairs! Not a bad deal at all.
