I already had Weathertechs and was hoping they would fix some problems. 3D had a few good moments but they failed at the most critical area (for me) so I sent them back. If you don't live in an area that gets a lot of meltable slush getting into your car, this might be a good and cheaper alternative. Install with existing ATS grommets if the WT requires some special adapters that are a bit tedious. When the driver's seat is pushed forward, 3D is always deleted. The WT has a ridge on the back for the seat to snag on, cluttering things up and making the seat more likely to snag on it next time. WT's solution to this is a loose Velcro strip that holds the back better. It helps, but it's not a permanent solution. Weathertech Benefits Ribbed texture holds more fluid before it hits the gas pedal. A small bump on the throttle to keep dirt on the mat on most winter days. Higher sides offer more protection. I have Weathertech (WT) and I'm not entirely happy with this buyer, although it's probably not Weathertech's fault. They can't do much with gravity, and the design of the ATS floor is such that everything flows down to the gas pedal. This pedal is floor mounted, so the closer the mat is to the pedal, the more likely the mat is to interfere with it. That's probably why the lip near the pedal, the lowest point you remember, doesn't really matter. On particularly muddy days, this can cause road chemical to spill over right where you don't want it, around the pedal pivot area. Unfortunately, the 3D MAXpider pad has no edge at all here, so running away does just that, running away. So WT sometimes holds garbage, but 3D never does.
