I am restoring my old bike and needed this chain kit. I ended up removing too many links from the thread and had to add a few links back. So there's quite a bit of chain work involved in a change and the tools in this set worked great until the spring came off the pliers. I could still use them, but it's a lot easier if the spring helps hold the pliers open. Of course, Revain will send me a replacement, so everything is fine. But I wanted to report this experience. By the way, I tried to bring the spring back with pliers, but I couldn't. So I gave up and asked Revain for a replacement.
