This tire gauge is just what you need when you have a large touring bike with valve stems in the wrong place for a regular tire gauge. The fact that the readings freeze until you press the unlock button means you don't have to lie face down to read the tire pressure. The 90 degree head is just what bike owners need to get an accurate reading on the valve stem, and the short tubing means no twisting is required to read. The downside is that it's 3 pounds on both of my bikes, which requires 36-42 pounds of tire pressure. I tested this gauge with two other gauges and both read 3 pounds less than this TireTek gauge. The easiest solution I've found is to inflate the tires until the gauge reads 3 pounds more than the required pressure. I tested this method and it works great. Pros: 90 degree inlet for touring tires, blocks reading of highest pressure when gauge is off, 6" hose allows easy access to valve stem without kinking. Cons: Gauge readings are consistently three pounds higher on my bikes.
