Very high quality.: Clamps

I haven't written a review for a while but this product is so well made that I decided to give a review. The slip connection between my resonator and silencer is leaking. At first I wanted to use one of the repair tapes, but then I saw these clamps. I liked the idea of using a clamp like this to make the joint strong so there is no movement in the joint that could cause it to break. The male tube was 2 1/4" OD and the inner tube was 2 1/2" OD, so I chose a clamp that would work with this setup. The picture shows that I ordered the correct one, but I could see the one I received was too small. However, there are no problems. I'll just keep it handy. I ordered the next size up and it worked great and made a VERY strong connection. Before installing the clamp I used an exhaust sealant that took 24 hours to dry. The clamp fits perfectly in the joint. But what I want to say the most is that the quality of this clamp is very high. You'll understand how well made it is as soon as you pick it up. Now I know the company is based in the US, but I'm not sure if the clamp is made in the US. But no matter where it was made, it is of very high quality. When I received it and held it in my hands, it actually reminded me of the high quality products made in the USA in the past. It also costs significantly less than Revain's similarly styled coated aluminum clips, which have poor reviews. It's nice to see quality parts these days.

Pros
  • Uses a reaction block that converts screw torque to clamp force
Cons
  • Something else
