Great alternative to U-clamps

These clamps are the best! I recently installed a stainless steel U-clamp exhaust system on my Titan. After breaking three of these, I ordered a different brand of U-clamps. After tightening them as tight as I could, the tube was still moving. So I took a chance with these tape clips. I screwed them in as tight as I could without breaking or removing the screws and the tubes don't move. Very impressed with the quality. worth your money.

Pros
  • 304 stainless steel construction
Cons
  • Some cons

It's stainless steel, wear gloves

This thing worked great. Couldn't get a standard clip to hold my rusty mudmobile together. I had a few cuts where I cut the exhaust pipe to replace the muffler and the stock clamps let the pipe slide out. This keeps it perfectly in place. The only thing to note is that it is stainless steel. In my case, I had to press hard to close it and I wasn't wearing gloves. I didn't feel it penetrate my skin until I wiped what I thought was oil on my pants.

Pros
  • Available in a wide range of styles and sizes
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Saved me the cost of a new exhaust system

I thought I'd finally shell out hundreds for a brand new exhaust for my 2001 Grand Prix. After trying adapters, adapters, and then a cheap, short, flimsy repair sleeve (which costs about the same as this clamp and keeps slipping off!), I almost gave up. None of the auto parts stores - and I live in a big city - even on big networks didn't have TOTALFLOW. I used this to connect a resonator and a decayed tube. The exhaust is quiet again and the repair reliable. This part was relatively easy to…

  • Non-Automatic

Very high quality.: Clamps

I haven't written a review for a while but this product is so well made that I decided to give a review. The slip connection between my resonator and silencer is leaking. At first I wanted to use one of the repair tapes, but then I saw these clamps. I liked the idea of using a clamp like this to make the joint strong so there is no movement in the joint that could cause it to break. The male tube was 2 1/4" OD and the inner tube was 2 1/2" OD, so I chose a clamp that would work with this setup.

Pros
  • Uses a reaction block that converts screw torque to clamp force
Cons
  • Something else
