We used these shoes for steep and rocky hikes in New Hampshire and they were great. Often our child complained and was frightened by slippery stones and fell into ordinary sneakers. So we bought them these running shoes because we knew they would grow back quickly. However, they were like Billy, jumping from boulder to boulder on the mountain trails. Without slipping or being scared, I almost got a heart attack with my newfound confidence... lol. Seriously, great shoes that exceeded all expectations. They fit very well and are comfortable.
