We strongly recommend buying this product. Spare yourself the shame! So I bought this bag, and while it's cute, the smell of fish that comes out of the bag is intoxicating and awful. I bought this bag for my birthday and only opened the bag when I had unpacked all my things on vacation. That was my biggest mistake. When I opened the bag, the room (I'm not even joking, the smell could be felt from several meters away) filled the room with the smells of fishing. When everyone in the room started gagging, I realized I didn't have anything else to take with me on vacation and I had to make it work. Tossed in a washcloth to try and get rid of the smell. Nothing helped. I can't express how embarrassed I felt opening my purse every time I needed money or a phone. Every time I sat at the blackjack table and had to reach into my purse, I had to get up from the table and grab what I needed so the men at the table wouldn't think that that awful smell was coming from me. One night when we were going out I had to take my phone out of my purse at Uber and everyone choked on the smell again, along with the Uber driver! So all in all my birthday was a fish festival and that smell will haunt us all for a long time. I put an air freshener in after my trip to see if I could salvage a fish bag, but I'm not sure that would help. I'll check if the fishy smell goes away in a few weeks.
