Review on HP Z27 4K UHD 🖥️ LED Business Monitor, 27 Inches, 1JS08A8#ABA by Ibnu Brazington

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great screen but problems

The screen is big and bright. It's hard to imagine better. However, there are three problems: 1. Someone thought it would be great to put almost all the ports on the bottom where they aren't visible. To connect the cable, you need to remove at least half of what's on the table and then do neck exercises to see what's underneath. If you wear glasses, ask someone else to do this as you and your glasses may not fit. Every time you do this you'll wonder if anyone on the development team likes people who use monitors.2. The manual is not written for people who read manuals. It tells you that some ports are upstream and others are downstream, without telling you what those terms mean or why they're important. It took me half an hour to find them on Google. The manual is also cryptic about other things a user might want to know such as: B. Whether to keep the monitor on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week or turn it off when not in use.3. The USB-C to USB-C connection was convenient because it carried traffic in both directions—images from my laptop to the screen and power in the other direction—so the monitor charged my laptop's battery. A year later it became a one-way street, electricity flowed, but the images on the screen no longer appeared. I bought three highly rated cables from Revain. As I plugged in each one, the monitor issued a stern warning that the cable was unauthorized and that terrible things would happen if I used it. I gave up and now use an HDMI cable to display the image on the screen. Other reviewers have complained about the cables that came with the monitor, so I assume that's where the problem lay. I also suspect that the dire warnings are disingenuous.

Pros
  • Some cable connections are finicky, but overall very happy with it.
Cons
  • Worst burnout in stuff I've ever seen. The USB-C port broke after a month.
