I bought this scale when I saw the large capacity of up to 22lbs which is very handy when I need to weigh ingredients in a heavy container. It has a smooth glass surface that is very easy to clean. The backlit display is easy to read. All functions are controlled by touch switches, thanks to which the surface of the scale is absolutely smooth and looks very beautiful. I particularly like the on/off button, which turns the device off immediately and extends battery life. Compared to my old kitchen scale, everything weighs the same, so pretty accurate. It uses AAA batteries, which are easier to find and cheaper than lithium batteries. The only thing to note is that the batteries can be difficult to remove due to the design of the battery compartment. Make sure the AAA batteries you get aren't too fat, otherwise they can take a hell of a long time to get out when you need to replace them. (Yes, I learned the hard way that some battery brands have a larger girth than others)
