Review on DEWALT DCE530B Cordless Heat Tool by Tim Rios

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal for short term heating

I bought this as a tool to apply vinyl graphics and such. things around the store. I have used Dewalt heat guns for many years to install full wraps and make simple signs. I wanted to be able to quickly grab and remove bubbles or just install small pieces of vinyl. For that it works great. Yes, as other reviews say, it doesn't move much air compared to Dewalt's plug-in model, but what do you expect? It's a heat gun, they suck energy - I'm shocked it works just as well as 20 volts! It's getting very hot! In other words, it's perfect for small jobs like shrinking electric wires, applying small stickers, and preheating items before spray painting. If you are making epoxy tables or full vinyl sheeting for cars - no, this is not the right tool for the job.

Pros
  • Heavy duty
Cons
  • Not for everyone
