Review on ☕ Keurig K-Duo Plus Coffee Maker: Single Serve 12-Cup Carafe Drip Brewer for K-Cup Pods and Ground Coffee, Black by Christine Pochmara

The best coffee maker I've ever had! HE

First of all for a duo (K-Cup and Drip Brew) this machine is surprisingly slim and compact. The water canister can be placed on the side or the back, making it much easier to place it in the available space. The carafe is of high quality and very well insulated, keeping your coffee fresh and hot. Personally, I drink tea, not coffee, but I was addicted to Keurig when I tried their Earl Gray K-Cups. What I particularly like about Keurig's design is that I can brew a K cup of tea after my husband has brewed coffee and my tea has no coffee flavor. You don't even have to remove the used coffee grounds from the drip egg (unless you're making tea that way). My husband loves that he can program the timer to start coffee in the morning and while it's not uncommon for coffee machines these days, he mentioned that it was very easy to figure out how to do it and set up the machine . When the K-Cup craze started I was skeptical, but not anymore. Keurig makes a high quality, well designed, intuitive product that is easy to use and produces great beer. I cannot recommend this machine enough and my husband finally got his dream coffee maker. EDIT ****** Three weeks after receiving this coffee maker, the drip brew feature stopped working. Not quite, but it was very slow and only brewed about half a carafe. I emailed Keurig and was told they would respond within 12 hours - it's been four days with no response. Here's a small caveat: Along with Keurig came a piece of paper with a phone number that said to contact them if there was a problem, not Revain. As is so often the case with individual notes, this note has disappeared, so I am happy to admit that I did not make contact as instructed. Also, since I got this for free through the Vine program, I wasn't really expecting a brand new coffee maker or anything, but recognition would be nice. As far as I can tell, this particular model hasn't hit the mainstream yet, and I sincerely hope they figure out why it's no longer working three weeks before release.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Good but not great
