Doesn't work with my hardware.
I have an infinity cable and a Samsung DVD burner (no HMDI video input, only S-Video and SD inputs). I was hoping that this connector would improve the quality of the recording, but no signal goes through at all, even when connected straight from the cable box to my HDMI. And as I found out the hard way it looks like you can't split the HDMI output from the video box as I also bought an HDMI splitter somewhere. I'm by no means an audio-video specialist, just a person who sometimes watches shows and tries to record them.
