Works without problems the first time.

This is the easiest way from HDMI to S-Video! Be careful with the power connector, it may be damaged and have problems connecting to the mains?

Quite normal, cheap enough not to get upset. If you're just looking for something that works, but don't need anything great with better options, then this is fine.

Works well, you must be patient when using Roku

This converter works fine as far as I can tell, but maybe I got lucky. I'm using this with a 3910 Roku Express+ to convert HDMI to S-Video (Roku can do composite too, but I wanted this feature on the go). The TV I'm using it on is from 1998 and it looks very good with S-Video, but not so well with Composite. One thing to note is that Roku takes a while to load. I was a bit worried when the screen was distorted. I first tried different combinations of Roku Power and Converter and then justโ€ฆ

Doesn't work with my hardware.

I have an infinity cable and a Samsung DVD burner (no HMDI video input, only S-Video and SD inputs). I was hoping that this connector would improve the quality of the recording, but no signal goes through at all, even when connected straight from the cable box to my HDMI. And as I found out the hard way it looks like you can't split the HDMI output from the video box as I also bought an HDMI splitter somewhere. I'm by no means an audio-video specialist, just a person who sometimes watches shows

Does NOT work with Chromecast or Firestick - shows everything in black and white.

I bought this product to use a replacement Chromecast on an old TV. I plugged it in and it worked; However, everything was in B&W. I tried it with Firestick and got the same result. When I researched this issue, it turned out that this adapter doesn't fully adjust the HDMI signal so you can see it in color. I'm returning it and trying another one (https://www.amazon.com/HDMI-Converter-Google-Chromecast-Composite/dp/B00Z81EY8K?ref_=nav_signin&). This ensures that it works with Chromecast andโ€ฆ
