This item was too light weight to do an adequate job. The umbrella immediately tilted and never did stand upright. I thought the design, with two apparent spikes going into the ground, would make it sturdy and reliable, but it didn't. After just an hour, the umbrella was leaning far over. I did return it and revain refunded it, so that was positive.

Bought this to take to the beach with me. It worked well on one day where it wasn't super windy, but then the next day when it was super windy it just would not hold.I mean, I'll probably still hang on to it, but not what I was expecting.

Worked well at our campsite. The umbrella it was holding even withstood a little thunderstorm that blew through. Thanks for attention.

Almost perfect if it was about a 1/4" bigger. I have a standard 7' outdoor umbrella and the pole was just a tad bigger than the opening.

Very sturdy and simple to use during baseball games (or any outdoor activities for that matter). Most of the outdoor umbrellas are for the beach use with attached plastic anchors that don't work well in the hot summer ground or any type of wind. This anchor comes with adjustable opening for 3 different fittings. It's a huge plus that others don't have. A bit pricy but it's worth the convenience and comfort it provides.

We loved this the cheese 5 times we used it, but it kept on bending the metal stake open more and more; no we have a super wabily umbrella holder. I have toddlers do this is a safety concern; specially since we haven't even had a strong wind.

I ordered this one after my husband insisted on one that screwed in to the ground which turned out to be a complete failure. We live in AZ and needed it for my sons soccer games (the ground tends to be really dry and hard). No matter how much weight we put on the other one it would not screw in to the ground. But this one worked perfectly and required a lot less effort to put in the ground.

This is great for any beach sand. Goes in easy and hold in wind. The metal does bend but has not broken. Was a great buy for an umbrella that was perfect except for the bottom. Cheaper than buying a new umbrella

This item does what its supposed to do. I have a lightweight pink flamingo print FUN umbrella that I used in my yard. I move it where I want and this stand makes it easy to do so.

This worked well for a giant pole + windsock for our campgrounds (in dirt). Haven't tried using it in sand but it's pretty big so I suspect it would work well there too. This is rather large, like over a foot long, but that keeps it in place, even with kids pulling on the pole like little madmen.

Bought this to hold an umbrella to shade some plants. Set it in turf at flower bed but slight wind into the umbrella would turn everything over, including the stand. I never used it in a sandy beach so can’t how that works.

I bought this for a patio umbrella, but the 1.5inch size does not fit. I had to return it. Measure your umbrella pole before purchasing.

Placed by the pool in the yard. Placed normal pool umbrella in it and it fell straight over. Tried multiple spots all with the same outcome. Maybe better for beach. Absolutely not worth the money

This seems like a great umbrella holder. It was sturdy and went deep into our grass. My umbrella that I purchased from the At Hone store did not fit. Very sad that we still will not be able to use our umbrella.

This is great. When I go fishing I like sitting under my umbrella. This works awesome . I have used it in sand.and harder ground.have had zero problems and have used it several times. I have seen other peoples umbrellas flying away.but mine stayed put with this.

This item came with a cap and it's good for the poles in three perimeters. 1.5" (most patio umbrella), 1 3/4", 1 1/16".Hold a steel patio umbrella well. Very sturdy.

The opening is not large enough for my 9ft umbrella. I didn't measure the pole to the umbrella and just took a chance. Waisted 13 bucks. So I can't speak to the sturdiness and ease of use. I will get a 7 ft umbrella because it is metal and does appear that it will be useful and work fine if it fits. I bought it because I have extra 9 ft umbrellas sitting around the garage and planned to use them over my flower beds in a west facing garden while we try to get through these triple digit days…
