Useless with a pool umbrella

Useless if there is even a slight breeze. Maybe if I cemented it into the dirt around this contraption… but useless sunken into the dirt of my yard.

Pros
  • Worked great, now I can move my umbrella when the sun moves to different parts of my patio.
Cons
  • May require multiple stands to hold larger umbrellas

Unfortunately, the way these are made, there is a metal bar down inside the barrel that the umbrella stick is supposed to sit in, which prevents it from dropping down and/or going into ground to create more stability - - because this little stand by itself, CANNOT hold a decent size umbrella! Only kept them for small jobs utilizing a GOLF size umbrella - not the size needed at the beach, park, or sporting event to shade more than one person!

Pros
  • Excellent design, high quality material, bright finish.
Cons
  • May not withstand strong winds or heavy rain

Needs a Little Better Engineering

I have an 9’ wide Galtech umbrella that i use this with, and the weight of the umbrella always seems to pull the stand to the side about 5°. Perhaps if the stake was 3-pronged instead of 2, it would remedy this. Also the stakes could be a little heavier in gauge as the weight of the umbrella has bent the stakes a little.

Pros
  • Offers excellent value for money
Cons
  • Forgetting to remove the anchor can damage your lawn

Pretty awesome! best in my review

I made permanent umbrella holders at my pool with these. I got tired of the traditional umbrella stands and having them tip over with a gust of window. I bought some 4 inch PVC pipe and some Quikrete and stuff the holder right in the center and sunk it slightly to hold in place. Works great and I love the functionality! My umbrella not tipping over anymore.

Pros
  • It’s great , has made a big difference. I have a Sportsbrella and it’s worked great with it .
Cons
  • May not be strong enough to hold heavier umbrellas
