Whistle when filling.

The beauty of this teapot was 50% looks and 50% functionality. I live in a small house so space is tight. I used my 2 liter pot for meals less often as I boiled water there for my caffeine addiction. I use induction hobs and the need for a steel bottomed kettle was important, as was a handle that folds out of the way for easy cupboard storage and refilling. Judging by the description, this kettle met these requirements. and pictures. Upon receipt of the goods, the quality seems good and the finish is pleasant. It didn't look like copper in real life compared to the photos, especially next to a copper pot, but it's good enough without actually being copper. Since I cook myself most of the time, I mostly just brew a few cups of water. Boiling so little water it doesn't clog the spout opening and doesn't allow pressure to build up in the upper cavity where the whistle sits on the lid. This is a minor inconvenience and no big deal. It might even be on the shopping list, but I didn't read it to be safe: the whistle isn't very loud, which might be a nuisance for some, but living in such a small town it's actually a plus for me. I noticed when I poured enough water to make a drink and then was about to pour the rest of the water into the pot that there is a raised rim on the inside of the pot where the lid closes. This lip catches a lot of water, and since the spout is on part of the inner curve, it's difficult to remove the last drop of water. Another reason I chose this pot was the wide base. When using this with a conventional burner or electric stove, the wider base has more contact area and transfers more heat into the pan rather than the flames rising up the sides of the pan. This is just the right size for induction cooktops to use a larger element. Pros: Works on my induction cookers (Duxtop and Nuwave) Aesthetically pleasing shape and color Decent quality Whistle is quieter than most kettles Wide base, large surface area for faster cooking. Cons: Difficult to drain water
