The 3600 and 3600X use the same voltage to achieve their respective clock speeds of 4.2 and 4.4GHz, meaning the 3600X can only be compared to diving in and running it. potentially unsafe voltages, at this point an extra $35-$50 looks a lot better than $100+ to cool the 3600 well enough to keep up with the 3600X and even then the 3600 will NEVER beat the single thread Reach the performance of the 3600X. .If you don't want an 8-core CPU, you want that particular CPU, skip 3600 and select that one.
