There's a trick you need to know.

Me: Shoulder to shoulder straight thin hair. Although my hair is fine, I've had enough of it. And even if I tie them at night, they still get tangled while I sleep. Due to the pandemic, I've grown my hair below my shoulders. I usually hold it over my shoulders because it's easier that way. I have a detangling brush and a wide comb and I hate washing my hair because it takes over 20 minutes to brush my hair. This device works, but there is a trick. You don't have to start at the bottom of your hair like you would with a regular brush or comb. You can start at the top of your head, but you need to run it slowly through your hair. If you try to run this device through your hair like a regular comb or brush, it will get stuck. So start slow and let him untangle the tangles while you pet her. Also a lot of comments about not being able to open the battery compartment. It's just a very small Phillips head screw, nothing special. I thought I needed something like a screwdriver to fix glasses as everyone says. But it opened with my usual multi-faceted screwdriver. Just use the smallest bit. However, the battery compartment could be redesigned if you would just open it. Otherwise I think it's worth the money. I just recommended it to a friend who has two daughters with long hair.

  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
