An old bedside table in my daughter's room has come to life! To prepare, I sanded it lightly with #120 sandpaper, then wiped away the dust with a damp cloth. Allow to dry and apply a thin first coat with a foam brush. I added two more layers with a foam roller. I wanted it to look sleek and modern because I don't like that shabby look. I also used a polyacrylate top coat instead of wax because of all the bad reviews about wax yellowing white paint. It also gave the nightstand a glossy look. I also drilled holes before starting the project and later added diamond handles for a glamorous effect! I ordered a 16oz sheepskin for $15 for an off-white color. The next time I shop at the store, I hear Joanne has it half price. Just a month later, Revain is $18!
