I had very mixed feelings about purchasing a shock collar. This was the last resort. My foster dog was very worried. Any sudden noise from another part of the house, or a dog across the street, or even the jingling of keys as someone leaves the house will trigger a bellane attack. I couldn't do anything to stop him. I bought a vibrating collar - but it didn't phase it. I decided to give it a try. It started working the first day I put it on. First, YOU have a console and control the signals. So he started barking and I beeped his attention (he didn't seem to notice). Googled again - nothing. The third time I added a slight shock. He cried out a little, then ran up to me and hid behind my leg, not understanding where the punch was coming from. This happened 3 times the first day and by the end of the day the beep was all I needed to get his attention. In a few days, all I have to do is honk his collar and he'll sit up and behave. He's a lot happier now too. He can safely ride in a car without barking at everything we pass. He can walk and will not attack other dogs. He seems a lot happier.
