Review on ๐Ÿš— Ultimate Custom Trailer Wiring Harness for Ford Edge Titanium: CURT 56292, 4-Pin, in Stylish Black by Jake Hill

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Your taillights may not work until you change the wiring harness.

Would have been easy to fit except the tail lights didn't work once fitted. I have a 2020 Ford Edge Titanium and apparently Ford decided to use a different wire for the taillights, brake lights and turn signals that were used on earlier models. Once you've figured out which wire (not the brown one, but one of the four white ones) you just need to connect the brown wire going to the coupler connector to that wire and you're good to go. By the way, the second tail light is much easier to find than the first. ๐Ÿ˜ After posting this I read more reviews and noticed that many people had this problem. This is easy to fix. Simply plug the adapter connector into the factory wiring harness and leave the headlight connector disconnected. Turn on the light on the dashboard, the clearance lights are enough. Use a voltmeter to check each pin on the adapter's exposed connector. The 12 volt contact connects to the wire used for the taillights. Locate the junction of the three brown wires. Cut the long brown wire that goes to the trailer connector and connect it to the white wire that you determined is the tail light wire. This is the same wire for the tail light on the other side of the car. This should make all lights work as advertised.
