Review on Denso 234-9123 Oxygen Sensor: Reliable Air and Fuel Ratio Monitoring Device by Mike Cox

Good discount OEM sensor for Subaru but may not have the correct wire connector

Bought this sensor upstream for a 2007 Subaru 2.5 liter engine to replace the original after 145,000 miles. In the kit was some kind of copper anti-seize compound. It looked like the original with one important exception - the cable connector was different than the original connector in my car. I've checked the part number several times and even ordered another one from my local parts store to test - the numbers match but the connector is different. Maybe changes were made after my car was made. Having to reassemble my car I cut off the connectors and replaced my original one with a new sensor - the wires are the same so it was a bit of an issue but cutting off the expensive part made me nervous. The sensor worked well - the check engine light did not come on and the scanner showed a quick response and good fuel trim. After almost 6 months and over 10,000 km it is still working. There were no error codes, fuel consumption is as expected, the engine runs perfectly. To update. Almost 2 years later the engine is still running well, the fuel setting is fine, the check engine light is not connected to the sensor.
