Review on Hakko PN 2005: Ultimate πŸ”§ Precision with Long Nose, Pointed Serrated Tip by Gerald Reeves

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Simply the best. fits needle nose pliers

I also bought a few US (blue) variants and they are fine, good tip shape, alignment, dimensions etc but Hakko combines all the essentials Things; the Hakko curve in the handle allows you to squeeze it with two fingers, the handle material is non-slip. the other has no swelling, and worse, the blue substance is velvety slippery. So my hand keeps slipping down towards the bar if I don't hold it back far. The Hakko have a stopper that only allows them to open to a certain limit (much), the blue ones open wide and are annoyingly clumsy, made worse by slippery handles. The Hakko opening spring has a rounded area that rubs smoothly, the blue ones have a mostly straight-cut tip that scratches the paint on the contact surface, you can feel any imperfection on the edge of the opposite handle. It's just stupid design / lazy production. The Hakko arrived smooth and clean, the blue ones were all oiled. BUY HAKKO.
