When I was looking for a lamp to extend my cycling adventures into the late evening hours, I was concerned that I would shell out the money and end up with something that barely sufficed. With this light on the handlebars (and the NiteRider Solas 100 on the seatpost) I have no problem cycling in complete darkness. Last night on a foggy, sweaty, windy October night I went on an 11 mile train ride at 8pm. At the lowest normal light level (not the card's ultra-low power light) I could see adequately, but as it was a bit fuzzy and blurry I set it to medium and found it perfect.
