Having tried several different "dog doors" over the years this is definitely the best. I owned. I installed it in the wall and because it's basically two doors it's much better than the one flap option. However, this product is very difficult to install using the method described in the instructions. even in the wall. The problem is the long bolts used to slide through a wall or door and connect the two halves together. it is very difficult to keep the drilled holes level and level in something as thick as a wall. I decided to use the template provided to cut out the inner wall and then pasted it into the 2x4 hole. After that was done, I used the 2x4 as a guide to cut out the outside wall (from the inside, with a saber saw). Then, instead of using the included screws, I drilled through the "dog door" side, which has threaded inserts, and used screws to attach each half. half inwards, the other outwards. There is a "seal" on the inside, but I used silicone to seal everything. This dog door works well and keeps the weather out. It took some time for my labs to get used to it. Simply because it wasn't "right" as they were used to. but it's probably the best product of its kind.
