Review on Ibera Bike Rack Frame Mounted Adjustable Sports & Fitness for Cycling by Edward Henderson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

i wanted to love returned.

It's very nice and firm to the touch so I really hoped it would work. I thought the design would be perfect for a basket. I did some research and read reviews first to make sure it would fit my road/commuter bike (Giant OCR-3W). Unfortunately, the upper support arms did not fit my bike properly. I was able to fit them but when I did the rear brake pushed more to one side than the other and this caused the brake to be askew and my tire could not rotate freely. I tried to adjust every moving part in every way I could to secure the levers without interfering with the braking. That wasn't possible, so I sent the shelf back. Some things to watch out for: Unless you're a cycling guru, assembly and installation will take you around 30 minutes, even if you're mechanical. Unless. Godspeed.Instructions are a bit confusing and the schematics are cluttered. Although this rack is designed for non-disc bike mounts, it includes two additional pieces for those with disc brakes and this diagram shows where to fit them. If you have a padded rear brake, you don't need these two parts. Also, the screws will require you to use three different size hex screwdrivers, so make sure you have a set of T20 to T30. Unless you're using old iron hex screwdrivers, you're going to have a hell of a time screwing and unscrewing. New hex sprockets with these bolts are junk. The tops of the screws are flat and it looks like the screw has been snapped off and won't move with a torx screwdriver.
