There were concerns, but for the price I gave it a try.

So far so good. Although I was hesitant with supporting photos due to some other negative reviews. I've taken this rack at least 3 times on multiple longer 30+ mile trips since I got it. I regularly check that all connections are tight and I've had to turn some a quarter turn from time to time so keep an eye on that. ok, fits right (I have a 700c Giant/Liv Alight 2). If there is ever a welding defect or something like that in the future I will definitely take a picture and post it here. But so…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Big and chunky

NOT particularly suitable for panniers from other manufacturers.

NOT particularly suitable for other brand cases. The bottom horizontal bar protrudes from the main body (because it's welded on the side). Again, don't expect to hang your bag on top of a rack (if your bags have regular hooks). Bags cannot hang straight (because the bottom bar pushes them out). Bags must be hung on the bottom bar. This may be intentional; however, there is something else. The position of the lower attachment point is not in the middle; it is very far ahead. Conversely, if your…

Nice trunk (laughs)

Usage time (about 2 months) Heaviest load (50-70 pounds for a 5 mile ride in bad road conditions) (220 pounds for about 30 seconds) Will be back, when something was about to break or get lost (yeah) I'll be brief as there isn't much to say about some bent wire and screws with a few welds (I mean that's all it really is). It works. If it doesn't work, it's easy to set up and tweak until it does. By far my favorite basket I've bought since and on one side I had a screw that wasn't long enough so…

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • No instructions

The shelf broke after less than 2 months of use.

After two months of using the rack 3-4 times a week, never exceeding 25-30 pounds, the part that attaches to the rear wheel broke off where it contains a threaded hole to hold it Tighten the screw that attaches the luggage rack to the rear wheel. It certainly looks like a weak point, and when you look at it, it's clear that's where it's broken. Not sure what to do with the replacement at the moment as the Ibera website says to contact the point of sale. the same thing happens to them. In the…

i wanted to love returned.

It's very nice and firm to the touch so I really hoped it would work. I thought the design would be perfect for a basket. I did some research and read reviews first to make sure it would fit my road/commuter bike (Giant OCR-3W). Unfortunately, the upper support arms did not fit my bike properly. I was able to fit them but when I did the rear brake pushed more to one side than the other and this caused the brake to be askew and my tire could not rotate freely. I tried to adjust every moving part

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Fits

Solid frame! Suitable for bike carriers and bags

I just installed the carrier and it is very stable and well made. One thing to note: I flipped the connectors on top so they are further apart and don't rub too much. Conversely, it appears to be just as stable. If your rear mounting points on the frame are far apart, you won't have this problem. I bet I could stand on the bar without breaking it (but I won't try!). I will be using this rack extensively so we'll see if it will stand the test of time. I hope the baskets from Ibera PakRak are…

WOW! This shelf totally exceeded my expectations

This shelf is exactly what I was looking for. Aesthetically, I like that all the details are black. Ibera and others make similar racks that are mostly black, but the parts that mount under the seat are silver. I prefer all black so I bought this shelf instead of other Ibera shelves. In addition, it is very durable, comes with all the necessary parts and is relatively easy to assemble and install on the bike, making it 100% flat. (Some racks never look straight and that worries me.) Another…

Minor flaws but still very good value, with or without PakRak

UPDATE: I have received the lighting I ordered, the Blitzu Gator 390 set which also includes a rear light. It was incredible value for money and the lights work well. But more importantly, the taillight fits on the back of this pillar. I mistakenly thought that the taillight in this set would use a standard clip rather than a quick release, but it uses the same bracket as the front light. As it turns out, though, you can wrap the elastic around the back tongue like a glove. It's not as good as…
