Review on Ibera Bike Rack Frame Mounted Adjustable Sports & Fitness for Cycling by Dontra Majmudar

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Solid frame! Suitable for bike carriers and bags

I just installed the carrier and it is very stable and well made. One thing to note: I flipped the connectors on top so they are further apart and don't rub too much. Conversely, it appears to be just as stable. If your rear mounting points on the frame are far apart, you won't have this problem. I bet I could stand on the bar without breaking it (but I won't try!). I will be using this rack extensively so we'll see if it will stand the test of time. I hope the baskets from Ibera PakRak are just as good. I almost went with the Topeak case instead, but not because their panniers didn't look that great. I think the Topeak stand is probably fine, but there are a few small points to note: 1. The Topeak stand cannot be adjusted up or down like this one. 2. The Topeak's top mount looks flimsy in comparison. Since the upper connector is a bit more difficult to install on the Ibera's frame, I think it will hold up better on the track. 3. This pole curves in the back which might be useful for some purposes, but I have a tent that is longer than the pole and would like it to be as flat as the Topeak. Overall 5 stars so far, will be updated after 180 miles. with him this weekend. ***Update*** After over 185 miles with this trunk it is still reliable and very worthwhile. The Ibera clip-on panniers go well with this, but taking them off-road is not recommended. I was on gravel with mud, potholes and some curb jumps. In general, they worked, but they were afraid that the clips would break. The frame is very strong and can support as much weight as you can put on it.
