Review on W8BLT 4 Inch Leather Cutting Scissors by Boss Spangler

Overall very disappointed with what I expected knowing this is a very high quality brand. I remember my grandma used a pair of Wiss scissors and figured there was no problem when she was looking for some great leather scissors. I just hope it was an accident! The Revain was marked "Made in the USA" in the picture, but the actual product didn't have the same branding on the blade, and the packaging clearly showed it was made in Colombia. And that's not a deciding factor, you just have to be transparent, but. On the back of the lower handle was a large patch (1/2″L x 1/4″W x 1/8″H) of black paint from the factory on the back of the lower handle that is still (barely) for his kept life. The black finish in this area and beyond was beginning to flake exposing bare metal. The blade was chipped/broken at the sharpened cut/top right at the point. I tried on a piece of leather and cutting it to the point would have left a scratch . It arrived with the red protective coating on the tip, so it had to go through quality control before shipping. All of these things are long-awaited, and they're usually accompanied by stories of how I dropped them off the table on such-and-such a project...ahh, memories? If it was just one I might consider keeping it or swapping it, but that seemed like overkill to me.
