Even when I'm just moving from room to room- the side pocket is great for my needles, and the main area stores lots of yarn - so I can bring multiple projects and decide which to work on when I get there.
I love the clear top because I like to see what I have. I can also slip patterns (or pattern books) into the bag and have them with me, too.
