I like this express machine. It was inexpensive and served its purpose. I didn't want to pay at least $49 plus for a "brand name" that looked like a slightly heavier aluminum caliber, but it was still aluminum. In my opinion, if you follow the instructions, most of the negative views will not apply. More expensive espresso makers, for example, also advise positioning the pot so that the handle is not near a direct heat source. It will not leak if you tighten it enough before heating. It cleans well and doesn't stain if you wash it sooner rather than later (wait for it to cool). The espresso tastes great - don't overcook it and let it steep for a minute after removing it from the heat. Don't try to turn it while it's hot - common sense! After it cools, take it apart and pour out the coffee - it comes off as easily as possible if you hold your hand over it while turning it upside down. I mean really, what's the negative thing to say? When it wears out I'll take another one, but imagine it will last a very long time and for the price I paid (about $8) I saved a lot of money to spend on espresso. In fact, I bought a milk frother when I wanted an espresso macchiato and both units and some espressos cost the same as a name brand espresso machine. Crazy to spend that much for 6 half round cups on the stove.
