will keep it because it works so well. The average computer user will appreciate that this adapter is literally a plug and play device. Others I tried came with their own drivers on a CD that prompted the user to tweak some computer settings (property sheets for the default audio device). So if you're looking for something simple to convert your PC from one set of stereo speakers to four, then look no further. It would be helpful to read the (small) one-page guide first so you know which of the two buttons does what. (Though the buttons are labeled on the adapter.) The only downside (pun intended) is that the USB cable is only about 4 inches long, so an extension cord was used to prevent the device from hanging in mid-air. But then it's a very simple and cheap solution. For the money, this adapter is at least as good and in some cases a lot better than the more expensive ones I've tried. So that's the case, when less is definitely better!
