I've tried a few much more expensive ones but this is the best

will keep it because it works so well. The average computer user will appreciate that this adapter is literally a plug and play device. Others I tried came with their own drivers on a CD that prompted the user to tweak some computer settings (property sheets for the default audio device). So if you're looking for something simple to convert your PC from one set of stereo speakers to four, then look no further. It would be helpful to read the (small) one-page guide first so you know which of the

Does the job! on computer components

Allow me to use my 3.5mm mics for Zoom calls / Go to Mtg / etc. Saves me from buying new USB mics that aren't as good are like my old shotguns, handheld lavalier mics that offer a much better sound with a lot less echo. It helps to understand the inputs on it - especially since the center input is marked with a headphone symbol, but it's actually a TRRS (Tip-Ring-Ring-Sleeve) headphone jack with a mic for that style of plug. These combos or mics were typically intended for recording on iPhones…

Ordered two, received two different units

First order was mid to late 2020 and I received one in shiny plastic, it works really well and the sound it comes out of is rich and deep. I use it to control the sound balance during a live broadcast. I liked it so much that when I built another streaming rig for my channel partner I ordered another one for him. The sound of the second one, bought in April 2021, is terrible in comparison. It sounds very muffled, the bass sounds washed out, and I think if I saw the spectrogram of the output…

  • Driving me nuts

Although I haven't had much time with this unit, so far it has worked flawlessly (Windows 10) and fully met my needs (to allow easy connection of a Logitech H111 stereo). headset to my computer for remote work during the pandemic). The unit itself deserves a 5 out of 5 star rating, but I'm deducting one star because of the poor documentation that exists for it, both the one that comes with it and that on the Revain website or the manufacturer (none - exists as far as I can tell can judge). One…

Audiophile quality splitter, volume control and sound card

I'm always wary of such cheap stuff - a lot of promises, and something in the description almost always doesn't live up to its promises. I am happy to report that this product does everything it promised and everything I needed. I use it in conjunction with a USB-C hub so I can use a single USB-C cable plugged into my laptop for power input, audio output, mouse connection, and HDMI to my thin laptop's external monitor. So I can finally connect and disconnect quickly. I used to use a 3.5mm…

Bought specifically for Steam Link

Bought after looking for other interesting and enticing options. Spending only $17 was a shame and a blessing because this little TechRise card was just what I needed. My TV doesn't have a headphone jack and it's not that smart (Toshiba 42xV545U for reference). I can't get rid of it, it was given to me by my dead sister. At night you have to play games, listen to music or watch a movie (out of respect - not everyone likes metal). This notorious bastard shoots me because I couldn't hear their…
