Allow me to use my 3.5mm mics for Zoom calls / Go to Mtg / etc. Saves me from buying new USB mics that aren't as good are like my old shotguns, handheld lavalier mics that offer a much better sound with a lot less echo. It helps to understand the inputs on it - especially since the center input is marked with a headphone symbol, but it's actually a TRRS (Tip-Ring-Ring-Sleeve) headphone jack with a mic for that style of plug. These combos or mics were typically intended for recording on iPhones (those with headphone jacks). I got it, just connected the microphone and nothing. I almost sent it back. I was using a microphone with a TRRS connector on the microphone marked with the symbol and it didn't work. But - after reading the reviews I popped it in the middle entrance (marked with headphones!) and bingo. Speaking of icons and labels, compared to the very sharp images on Revain, the actual labeling on controls, etc. very faded - or I'm getting really, really old. Maybe both. Another improvement would be a longer connection cable; 4 inches, that's short. It runs from a hub and that helps. Considering the cost, I'm very satisfied that it works as well as it does.
