The monitor has excellent colors and brightness and fantastic resolution compared to a 1080 monitor. Why it is making a high-pitched squeal, however, is beyond me. I had already had Dell replace it and sent me a new one under the factory warranty. The same applies to the replacement. I suppose if you have hearing loss you won't mind as you won't hear the high pitched sound but for me it gives me a terrible headache and it's not worth it. Clear manufacturing defect. I'm guessing their quality control department doesn't have very good hearing. I will buy a different monitor from a different manufacturer. Update: Changed from 3 to 2 because I realized the monitor was a waste of my time and money when I got a new monitor from another manufacturer that is the same quality. good screen, a little more expensive, but doesn't make high-pitched sounds.
