I am 100% satisfied with this fan. I installed it on my patio a few months ago. My setup was to wire directly to the fan and use the remote for the light and fan speed. The installation went well, the instructions were decent and I didn't have any major problems. I find it's installed a bit differently than other fans due to the low profile. Following the instructions and the ordered sequence will ensure a hassle-free installation. My fan didn't need additional balancing and still runs quietly. I would also like to thank their customer service team: the glass light ball had shattered when I reached the bottom of the box to install it. I called their service line and they immediately sent not one, but two covers. It's good to have a second in case of another breakdown.
