Bought for my 2003 BMW Z4. I had a problem trying to get the HVAC vent out. I've watched a few videos on how to do it but it still doesn't work. I think mine was damaged during removal earlier. I finally found out that there is a panel just below the radio under the dash that just pops out with a simple look with a knife. To my surprise, I was able to reach behind the radio (close but possible) and using a viewing mirror, I saw the spot to plug in the connector shown in some of the videos I watched. Well I tried and tried but I couldn't get it. I looked at the harness and where it connects and realized I had it backwards. I turned it flat side down and fiddled with it some more and suddenly I was in the right position and it popped out. Remember this is all by feel as you can't see there until your hand is there. Well I immediately plugged my iPhone into input, pressed the mode button until AUX showed up, turned on the music in the phone and voila! It worked. I then removed the ashtray tray and drilled a 3/16 hole next to the cigarette lighter and attached the inlet to it. It's not a lot of space, but enough.
