Great product. Works as advertised. The user manual is terrible, but the support from Motorola is too bad. For use with Comcast/Xfinity: 1) Plug in your modem, plug in the coax cable and connect an ethernet cable to port 1 on your laptop. 2) Go to the xfinity setup webpage on your laptop and enter your credentials. to activate the modem (the address of the web page is given in the user manual) 3) The modem will reboot and then you should have a wired internet connection with your laptop powered by the router and then plug the power 5) After plugging in the modem, it will restart and your Wi-Fi should now be working. Tips: 1) You may need to factory reset your router for it to connect to this modem. I had to reset my Apple Time Capsule reuter2), it's a bridged modem so it needs to be turned off before the router is plugged in. Connect the router to the modem and turn on the router, and then turn on the modem3), only one port can be used. The rest is for signaling after that feature becomes available from the ISP. You can only use one of the four Ethernet ports on the back panel.
