Very easy to remove. Bought for making beeswax candles. No top hole that I was aware of before purchasing (thanks to previous reviewers). I used a wooden skewer and poke a hole in the tip. You can thread the wick very easily and because the shape is very thick and easy to grip, the drops don't drip at all. The shape/design comes out very clearly. I noticed that the shapes took on a slight oval curve over time. I could put on an elastic band when not in use and I'm sure this will fix the problem. Great buy for beginners, makes it easy and fun.
