Review on Sennheiser Momentum Free wireless headphones, black by Ada Kosakiewicz ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not exactly the product I wanted, the price and quality do not match.

I urgently needed to buy new headphones, since one ear cushion was lost from the old Sennheiser momentum, and the wires finally fell into disrepair I quickly took it to the store and did not even check, which I later regretted. My headphones did not show up in the list of devices that may be connected over Bluetooth for the very first time. I have tried connecting via a variety of devices, but I am unsuccessful. I went to the retailer to inquire about what should be done with it; in the end, they swapped out the headphones and the package with those of a different brand, but the issues were not resolved there. Five hours after making the purchase, I was finally able to test the sound quality of the new headphones by connecting them to my phone and determining that they produced an excellent quality of sound. However, after that, a new issue arose: when I phoned, the person on the other end could not hear me very well, and while I was recording voice messages, my voice would fade after a few seconds, leaving only the background noise. It came out that the headphones did not allow the built-in microphone to function properly; tests in which the microphone on the phone was covered with a finger verified this finding. As a consequence of this, I was forced to go to the opposite end of the city in order to go back to the shop one more time and demonstrate to the employees there that the microphone is in fact inoperable. Even though they pretended that everything was fine, the recorded voice message only reproduced the movement of my finger on the microphone of the iPhone, but not my voice. This was despite the fact that they tried to pretend that everything was working perfectly. Regrettably, I was had to give back the money, despite the fact that I was quite satisfied with the headphones. And the very first pair that, in accordance with the assurances provided by the vendors, did not connect to the phone was paid for once it had been recharged. The lesson to be learned from this is straightforward: examine the headphones as soon as possible after purchasing and read the manual thoroughly.

Pros
  • Incredible acoustics that are exclusive to Sennheiser products and to earplugs in general After taking a stroll around Nevsky Prospekt while wearing them, the only noise I could hear coming from the outside world was coming from amplifiers and speakers that were really powerful. It is highly unlikely that you will hear any police or ambulance sirens in there. Quite pleasant to wear, do not become dislodged, and the wire does not cause too much discomfort. You are able to change the song, adjust the volume, and pause the music. Great design on the headphones They won't get lost or dropped because they just hang around the neck, and unlike real wireless headphones, they don't need to be stored away in a specific case every time because they don't need to be. Excellent Bluetooth connection; during the three hours of testing, the sound was only cut off for a fraction of a second once, and that was because the phone was in a backpack while it was running on a portable battery. However, many other wireless headphones lost connection much more frequently. Superb ear pads: the ones that were pre-installed on the headphones are the ideal size for my ears, and the set includes additional sizes to accommodate a variety of ear shapes. A satisfying product overall
Cons
  • Microphone. For some reason, it did not work for me, however the solution can be found below in the comments. You can't summon Siri by holding down the main button for a long time, although it's possible that this can be changed. It's true that the magnets don't have a lot of pulling power, but in theory, you don't even need them. In order to remove them easily, you have to turn them off first so that the battery isn't wasted; this is annoying, so you could include an automated shutdown after five, ten, or fifteen minutes. If you pause the music, for some reason, the video in Instagram will not have any sound when you watch it. It appears that the issue has been resolved, but the specifics of how and on what it relies remain unclear. It is not clear why they decided to add a microphone mute that is activated by a double click.
