Received the "Speed Racer" ear pads for my QC 35 ii today as the original ones were torn and the yellow foam was clearly visible. Removing the old one was easy (YouTube video) but installing the new one was a bit tricky. The "L" marked inner paper supplied as a replacement had poor non-tackiness, making it poorly pasted. Since I removed the OEM paper I can't get it back and that was a disappointment. But I went ahead anyway and installed foam ear pads on both sides. Again, this is a very complex process and hearing those clicks (as the video suggests) didn't happen in many places and it took a lot of tugging and retrying to get it to click from all angles and see how it's the photos i added. ALTHOUGH I have to say - it looks GORGEOUS once properly installed. I've tried it and turned on ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) and so far I can't find any difference between "ANC on OEM earpads" and ANC on this one. I see other reviews talking about ANC degradation, but I've had 30 minutes with these earpads fully installed and still haven't noticed any degradation. I'm a little skeptical about the "L" marked inner paper and how well it will hold up as it doesn't stick properly, but if anything happens here I'll update this review. This earpad seems to have breathed life into my QC 35ii.
