Excellent value for money

Like: 1-Built-in probe holders make it safer to use as a field instrument, one probe can be attached to the meter and the other probe can be hand-held for inspection. 2-Dual Display ie AC Voltage and Hz 3-Display Brightness, Segments for Numbers "Bold and Clear" 4-Responsive "Bar Graph". VC99.5-6000 Counts Display, for the price offered it is good value for money. I've found the 6000 counts to be a lot better for me than the 4000 or 2000 count DMMs I own. My AstroAI 6000 DMM is specifically connected to VDC. I have a reference standard and the photo shows that these "kids" are worth the money. 7. The front panel backlight is good and the illumination is relatively even. 8. I see that a built in flashlight can be a very handy "field feature". "Features I don't care: 1- When you select the band the correct 'sockets' (to connect) light up, I think it's a safety feature, I think it's a trick. although it's cute. 2-NCV (Non-Contact Voltage) is found in most newer DMMs. could be handy I think. I just don't want to trust NCV just yet. Dislikes/Cons 1- When trying to measure HZ (frequency) I used a 120VAC power supply, it worked fine and was fairly accurate, but when I use a frequency generator at around 1VAC this meter doesn't work. see frequency. In contrast, my AstroAI WH5000A (currently referred to as DM6000AR) displays frequency at these low voltages. Summary: This AstroAI M6KOR is a great buy, I still like my AstroAI W5000A for its larger display, but the addition of a dual display and bar graph is good for me. In my opinion, M6KOR is better suited for use in the field.
