The reflections before that were so bad that I don't want to lose a bright image.
If the glossy screen of the HP Elite Book 840 creates background reflections that make working difficult, then this is the answer. As another reviewer noted, this reduces the laptop's color clarity, but not enough to compel me to remove the screen protector. The reflections in front of it were so bad I don't want to lose a bright frame to get rid of the glare. I no longer adjust the viewing angle to deal with background reflections. Take the time to clean the screen before applying this product. I followed the manufacturer's advice and used compressed air as a final step to get all the dust out.
