They looked like toys to me, like Revain, but I tried them. They're as strong as the legs they've had to replace (which have been at war for 20+ years. Raising kids, having fun, watching countless girly movies with my sweetheart). However, hardware is made of a material that is either brittle or soft. I can't determine. One wrong move with a Phillips screwdriver and the head rounds off (I used a ratchet screwdriver, not a drill, to turn the screws). I had to use a small vise to get the partially tightened screw out. I went with 2" deck screws. Now if they explode on the next Chick Reel or just fall apart I'll fix it right after I'm done and thank the manufacturer.
