From time to time there is a need to have such a scale
I build models and from time to time I need a ruler to use as a ruler to duplicate cuts and that's what it takes. The slider bar comes in handy for measuring the depth of elements I need to detail. They're comfortable, durable, and work well, sometimes getting lost in the mess of an assembly, but they're great to have on hand in case you need to measure awkward things.
