Perfect size for a 3 year old boy (small for his age). In the photo the smaller is blue and the larger is turquoise. We have Bought a small light blue scooter for our small grandson and a regular size turquoise for our older granddaughters.The small one - the size I am considering - is actually a bit more difficult to ride because the footpegs are closer together.When the child is three years or older I would go for the full size. We all rode the big ones and had a great time. Our little grandson is a bit small for the big one but still preferred it to this one. And again if it's a typical size for Being a three year old the larger would be tall but it would be easier to ride than this smaller size If the little one had wider footrests that would be perfect But - well made and easy to set up.
