This lightweight backpack has a durable construction with Exo-Shell stitching. Roomy side flap (zipped) in addition to the top opening makes it easy to accommodate unruly kittens etc. Today I used the large side flap for a rescue cat and it was great to be able to carefully crawl in. The mesh is made of thicker plastic and the larger mesh area allows air to circulate. It is designed for transport, not for long stay inside. There are two straps (upper chest and waist) which make it even more stable when walking. The shoulder straps are thick and comfortable. The backpack also includes a removable, thin, soft faux lamb pad for the bottom. Obviously the designers did their own research or brought their own animals. This is a well thought out design. from material quality to design and functionality. Really great, even my vet loved it. I'm so glad I took the time to look around and settled on this one. I love everything!
