Used prophylactically
Seems to protect my dog's teeth from tartar and stains. I also use it to prevent joint and back pain in my 8 and 2 year old Border Collies. This is not a cure, but a prophylaxis to protect the joints and the back. I don't like an application where you have to press a non-soft tablet to the upper gum because the hard shell makes it difficult to squeeze out all the liquid. I'm not sure if a dog can eat this peel, but if you don't press it down on the gums, the tartar won't come off. That's why I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5. Also, you can't just unscrew it, you have to cut off the tip with scissors.
